Maintainance of sump pumps

You don't want to be flooded in the next heavy rain.  If you have a basement you probabbly have a sump pump.  A sump pump is an electrical water pump that takes water from the low area below the basement floor and pumps it out and away from the structure.  For a newer house in the Bay Area  it will pump it into a drywell.  For an older house it may pump the water right into the storm drain.

There were 28 sales in Los Altos on the MLS in October 2014.  Average days on market was 13 days.  Average square footage was 2,492 with an average lot size of 11,818 and an average age of 50.  Average sale price per square foot was $1,090.90.  Average list price of $2,376,993 with an average sale price of $2,633,192 - 11% on average sale over list price.
